I WEAR A HEART RATE MONITOR EVERY TIME I TAKE A ZUMBA CLASS. I AM 51 YEARS OLD AND LATELY MY HEART RATE IS USUALLY ABOUT 170 DURING THE CLASS. ISNT THAT TO HIGH FOR MY AGE?

How wonderful to see such a loving relationship in the entertainment business! It’s not something seen too often, although there are some out there. My husband and I will celebrate our 36 year anniversary in October. The last 8 or 9 have been really difficult as I have a disease called gastroparesis and chronic pain. Through it all my wonderful husband has been a godsend. I wish for you and jeff the kind of loving, lasting relationship that Joe and I share (without the health issues).

i tend to pay the most attention to sodium. if the product is high in sodium it doesn’t go in my cart. should i be paying more attention to sugars?

Thanks for sharing your site. I was very helpful, ESPECIALLY the eating out area. I had gastric bypass a few years ago and still struggle with DECIDING what to eat at times. This site can help alot. Not sure why this writes all in caps though??

This is a great site! I’ve read all of this :)) I have always struggled with my weight but in 2008 I decided to really do something about it because hey, I’m not getting any younger and I’d like to be around long enough to be a burden to my kids! (just kidding!) anyway, from 2008 to 2009 I had lost almost 100 pounds…I still would like to lose 30 pounds more but weight loss and metabolism has really slowed down…you’re blog has inspired me to get serious about this and get going…congratulations on a very informative site, keep it coming and I’ll keep on reading it…I’ll keep you posted on my journey of the last 30 pounds

the email would not go to lower casE but it should be in lower case if you reply. I lost 32 lbs put 20 of it back on. How do you get motivated to get back on track. When i look in the mirRor i get disgusted and emotionAl eat. The weight clinic i was going to shut down out of the blue with no notice just vanished. If you have any suggestions would love to hear them.

Been a fan for years! He performed at the comedy club in Hermosa beach years ago. my wife and I were seated in front. he teased me because I worked at boeing but didn’t like to fly. he thanked me after the show for being the brunt of his joking. I was impressed by his class!
My husband and I love jeff and his sense of humor. We were lucky to see him live in loveland, co. A couple of years ago. Now i am anxious to research your website! Just have to ask…does jeff ever trick you with his ventriloquism? If i had his talent, i would be able to pass that up! Our best to both of you!

I so enjoyed your website. It is uplifting and full of joY. You are a beAutiful, and Obviously sweet lady. I am a huge fan of Your husband – he is brilliant! I am truly in awe Of his talent and so grateful for all the Laughs! Walter kills me! I love all the characters but walter is such a pain in the ass and makes me laugh so hard with his snotty comments and no holding back opinions. Reminds me of my mom…she was just like that – lol!

Do you have any info or adviCe About going glutrn free and vegEtarian? Been vegetarianfor 2yrs and haven’t lost much weight. ThoUght i might be gluten intolerant, so i cut out most gluten. Having trouble planning meals. Still don’t feel great. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Christine, I’m not sure about your situation, but most vegetarians tend to consume too much cheese and heavy starches such as pasta. Regardless if this describes you or not, focus on filling your plate mostly with vegetables and fruit first and foremost. Get creative – different colored squashes such as spaghetti squash and butternut squash are great choices. Fill the rest of your plate with legumes such as lentils and beans, as well as gluten free whole grains such as quinoa and brown rice to help supply protein and essential amino acids. Try and keep cheese or any other dairy for that matter to about one serving a day. However, many people are lactose intolerant and don’t know it. Try eliminating dairy all together for 2-3 weeks if you think this may be possibility in your situation. Hope that helps!

HELP!!! Read your story found it to be fascinating.you know both ends of the spectrum. I had lost 80 lbs before. But the same things are not working this time. I think because I’m 20 yrs older. I’m 48 now and care for my mom. Just wonder if you have some pointers for me. Thanks so much. Dorene
Hi Dorene, my best advice is to be kind to yourself by instead of focusing on foods that will help you lose weight, focus on choosing food and activities that will help you live longer and make you a healthier person. Do your best to completely eliminate the word “diet” from your vocabulary. It adds too much stress and anxiety. When you focus on making one healthy decision at a time throughout the day, (instead of what will make you “skinny”) everything else falls into place. Changing your way of thinking doesn’t happen overnight, though. Be patient with yourself and take it one decision at a time. Hope that helps!

Hi Audrey, I found the section about sports drinks particularly interesting. I’ve never been a sports drink consumer but do realize that I need to replenish with more than just water after long runs or workouts. I like the idea of unsweetened coconut water as an alternative however, it lacks sodium that is also needed. What would you suggest to replenish the sodium?
Hi Amy, the average person has no problem getting enough sodium in due to the added salt in many foods we consume on a regular basis. However, if you are a runner who runs long distances and/or you tend to sweat a lot when you workout and/or run outside in hot weather, it may be a good idea to add additional salty foods before or after your run or heavy workout. Olives, salted nuts and homemade soups are good options. I’m also a big fan of Vega Sport Hydrator which is an electrolyte powder you can add to your water. Hope that helps!

Hello Audrey and congratulations on your precious, precious news. I currently have AMl leukemia. in 2012 I was diagnosed with nh lymphoma and in feb this year it swung to the leukemia because of the chemo I received before. can you help me with a good smoothie drink. I really do not like the powders because either I am doing something wrong because I can taste the grittiness of the powders. my husband is my cook and he is meat and potato kind of guy. we have our own chickens so I can protein that way but any dietary hints will help. thank you for any suggestions and your time in reading this. My husband and I absolutely love Jeff and crew. We have seen him in Ohio at the Nutter Center in Beavercreek, or Fairborn. Just depends on who you ask. Lol I am excited to be a part of your postS, AUDREY. THE REASON I SAY THAT IS NOT ONLY DOES JEFF HELP US GET THROUGH OUR EVERYDAY LIFE, BUT NOW I HOPE TO LEARN MORE FROM YOU ABOUT WAYS TO IMPROVE OUR FAMILIES HEALTH AND WELLNESS. WE HAVE 13 YEAR OLD IDENTICAL TWIN GIRLS, AND IF I CAN’T FIND A WAY TO CHANGE THEIR EATING PORTIONS AND A FEW OTHER THINGS, THEY WILL NOT HAVE A GOOD FUTURE AHEAD. I am so happy for you both! Nothing better than when you fall in love with your best friend. My husband and I saw Jeff this past February in vegas. Hadn’t been to one of his shows in about 8 yrs. I think the Vegas show was 10th time. Still so funny. I was hoping for him to be out signing autographs after the show. I been wanting to thank him for something he did for my mom amost 7 years ago. He gave her the last gift before she passed. That was the gift of Laughter. The night before she passed, she had been watching Jeff’s Christmas special right before she closed her eyes for the last time. It has given me great comfort in knowing my mom left this world laughing and smiling because of Jeff. Don’t know if you will see this but if you do, please tell your wonderful husband thank you and i am eternally grateful. Sorry for the all caps. Wouldn’t let me change it

Audrey, my SON HAS JUST TURNED 21 AND THE ONLY THING HE ASKED ME FOR WAS TO BE ABLE TO GO TO LAS VEGAS TO SEE JEFF. UNFORTUNATELY, I HAVE RAISED HIM ALONE AND HAVE WORKED HARD TO GIVE HIM THE BEST. HE KNOWS WE DONT HAVE MUCH BUT I TOLD HIM WE WOULD TRY AND SAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO GO SEE JEFF BEFORE HE LEAVES VEGAS IN OCTOBER. IF WE MAKE IT, WE MAY BE SITTING IN THE VERY BACK, BUT PLEASE LET JEFF KNOW HE MAKES MY SON SO HAPPY AND LAUGH SO MUCH AND i WANT TO THANK HIM. My mum forwarded me am email with achmed a few year ago when i was waiting for spinal sugery been a fan ever since and have got my kids into the fan club as well cant wait for him to come back to australia been in a few daek places and you put a dvd of jeffs on and laugh the night away its great that you can bond with your husband in all aspects of his life it means to will be together for a long time to come best wishes for your family

Hi Audrey, My name is Tyra & I so admire you for what you have accomplished in your life to this point..I am 54 I will be 55 on Oct 12th. 🙂 I have Thyroid, Diabetes, BP, ETC: I am very over weight. I Have been all my life pretty much..How ever I have managed to loose some because it is a must with the diabetes…It is VERY hard…I have never been able to afford to have proper training on exercise or food.. My question to you is this..Is the splenda, & Creamer sugar free bad for trying to loose weight??? If you could answer it would be great… I want to say Congratulations to you & Jeff on the little boys that are on the way..I send my best to the three girls as well…I love the reading of your blogs & will look forward to much more in the future …. I’ve been a fan of Jeff’s for a while now, and I did know some of these things, but reading it all, seeing just how much you two care for one another, it just makes me so happy. I seriously had a huge grin on my face and a tear in my eye as I read this. You guys are so lucky to have each other – and you’ve been on my list of couples that make me believe in love for a long time; next to my English and Spanish teacher (high school sweethearts, happily married), and my best friend and his girlfriend. HI Audrey! I have been a fan you Jeffs for something like 25 years. I first saw him on VH1 Stand Up Spotlight. THat was also where I first saw Peanut! I RECENTLY got my first chance to see him live in Saratoga, CA and the show was Amazing! He is such a talented, funny and honest man. Life with him must be fantastic. My worst meal is with breakfast. A bagel, or apple – berry danish or big bowl of frosted shredded wheat. All not good, but quick and easy. My daily life is all over the board. What would you suggest for quick, healthy, easy stuff for on the go? Seriously trying, and need, to loose weight but I am not good in the kitchen. BTW, I was raised on a farm and lived exactly how you wrote it in the blog. Every one should live on a farm, unfortunately us kids maintained and worked the huge garden and mom canned, cooked and we ate. Never taught the importance of preparation or natural healthy ingredients and how to mix, match or cook them. I read your blog daily and appreciate your knowledge and advise. Thank you!
Hi Denise, Thanks for your comment and kind words. Seems like what’s missing from your breakfast is a bit of protein and/or healthy fat. Try a piece of whole grain toast with nut butter or mashed avocado/salt/pepper on it. Sliced apple with nut butter is really good, too. If you really want to stick with bagels, look for a whole grain kind. They can usually be found in the grocery store.

Didn’t know jeff is a history buff!
Next time you guys are in the Twin Cities I would love to take you on a walking tour of my hometown of Anoka, Mn. it is drenched in history. One claim to fame is it is the Halloween Capital of the World. True! Look it up! We have the largest and longest of any parade in the state. I know Gretchen Carlson’s mom personally. I am friends with a guy who dated Michelle Bachman in high school. most of the town’s buildings currently standing and in use on Main st. Were built in the late 1880s. Lots more where that came from.

They set you up for failure so you can buy their next diet book. Such an unhealthy racket that us poor females, especially, have been bombarded with. Thank you for making it so clear and clean. I found it interesting to read how you never ate steamed, roasted, or cooked veggitables and couldn’t even tolerate the smell of them. i suffer from migraines, however my second trimester they went away for the rest of my pregnenacy, which was the best part, plus all the energy i had. hang in there! BTW, i’m not yelling (with all caps) for some reason it will not allow me to change the font. you are doing remarkably well, and I look forward to reading more of your journey and the birth of your twin boys! all the best of life! janice

Why do you dislike horseradish? That’s an interesting dislike. I’m in total agreement about mysterious wet objects. It is so gross especially when you have kids and you really have no idea and it’s probably a bodily fluid…ew. I also agree with the old sponges. I hate to use sponges at other people’s homes because I never know how old it is

I am with you on several. I loved Jeff’s show when he was doing the college circuit. Say in in the early 90’s. Liked his early shows on tv I have all the dvd’s. Don’t like that his cussing is increasing in the show where it isn’t needed to make a point. I saw in twice in person and my daughter goes with her family when he in in Bakersfield. So we are long time fans.

I agree on many of those! The sponge thing also goes for handtowels that never get washed. Come on people, they aren’t for show, they are to be used, and must be washed regularly, even if they dont look dirty.

“Muppet Christmas Carol” is a staple in our house while we are decorating for Christmas!!! Ever since the kids were little!!! Totally agree with the “mysteriously wet” & sponges, but it goes for dish rags too!! Totally spot on with the likes & dislikes!

Hi Audrey firstlt congrats on your little ones, you must both be very happy. I am a type 1 diabetic of over 40 years, now retired from our national health service, since then my weight had increased to 86 kilos, i have managed to get it down to 76, by trying to cut carbs (i have an insulin pump so i can do this). i find it hard to excersise due to problems with shoulders and neuropathy in legs, im a sucker for chocolate too, im a bit stuck and could really do with some help,slimming organizations in england are horrified as soon as i say Diabetic. can you give me any advice please.

Great article Audrey! The ConVention is such a highlight for ventriloquists around the world and Jeff being there and gracious with his time makes it that much more exciting. The Vent Haven IS a wonderful place and the board and staff do a knock out job taking care of the legacy of W.S. Berger. I love the t-shirts for the babies, those are adorable! You all look great!

I watch one of Jeff’s documentaries on the making of his ventriloquial figures and it is amazing the work and effort that goes into the characters, even before they become fan favorites.. Awesome article! I have only been weighing myself once a month on the 1st. I found I was getting myself too worked up & stressed over that stupid number when I weighed in more often. I mainly use how my clothes fit along with monthly measurements. I just bought a scale that does the body fat thing so I may have to bump up the weigh ins to every 2 weeks. We’ll see if I can handle that without stressing too much 🙂

The sponge thing is a big problem in our home. I decided a long time ago to teach my boys to clean house and to participate in the upkeep of the home. Therefor they will sometimes leave a wet, not cleaned sponge out to become discusting! So I either throw it away OR throw it in the dishwasher with the load! Sometimes on bad ones I spray them with bleach first. In fact we have made it a habit to just throw it in with each load! 9 times out of 10 it is sanitized and good as new! And I want to thank you for the spell check feature on the comments for your blog! It’s helps with the typo dislike ?

We live in the mountains and have well water. For about a year we have been drinking alkaline water, but now I’m hearing it’s not to great because the minerals have been removed. Should we be drinking alkalinity water, well water, spring water??? What are your thoughts about all this. Any knowledge you can share with us would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

This smoothie sounds tasty….and with our So. CA weather warming up…something cold (and nutritious) would be great.
I usually don’t eat a lot when it’s hot outside so I am sure I’m missing a lot of what my body needs. So something cold to fend off the heat is great! All I usually drink is ice water or iced green tea. Gave up soda five years ago…so I needed to find something aside from water.

This is a great post! I love to cook,BAKE, and eat! Thanks for the sound advice. I’ve often said it’s time I break up with food. But that’s not good either because I love food. I personally will be re-reading this post as I feel like I need to be reminded of the healthy balance for my body and my mind regarding food.
Thanks for the comment, Amy! I know how you feel… it’s so easy to say “This is it! No more dessert. And this time I mean it.” But then we end up miserable and falling off the wagon because we feel so deprived. Been there, done that… a million times. Being conscious of how much we’re eating and whether or not we actually really want that next bite is all we really need to do. It can take practice, though, so it’s important that we’re patient with ourselves.

I’ve always slept with a fan since I was five. Not only keeping it cool in my room. The sound of the fan drowns out a lot of noise. I find it soothing. Also I’ve started having dark black curtains in my room as well. I even stopped having a clock in my room. I use my cell phone alarm clock. I also find the sound of a ticking clock helps me fall asleep.

Great tips for my kitchen, but being in the UK we are advised to keep our eggs out of the fridge as the chickens are already vaccinated against salmonella. But I will definitely be investing in a meat temp checker as I do a lot of cooking in a slow cooker over long periods of time, so it will be useful rather than just guessing! Great website, and I love your tips and information, it’s helped get a diet more on track.

Not only vinegar is good to clean with. Using baking soda to clean as well. And peroxide as well. My mom has stopped using cleaning chemicals and uses just those three thing to clean with. And things look wonderful without that chemical smell in the house, That’s the best way to clean.

I love the smell of oranges, so I keep a mason jar half filled with vinegar. Whenever someone has an orange, I put the peels in the jar. When I need a cleaner refill, I just strain out the peels, pour into the bottle, and add more vinegar tothe halfway point, then fill with water. Start over again with a half jar of vinegar. I have 4 kids so orange peels are always available.

I love beets, very ripe melons and green apples, because they are low in sugar. I am a huge fan of brussel sprouts also. My mom was german and they grow their own vegetables.

Vinegar is a great product to clean with! It is easier on household items such as floors and counters and it won’t have the chemical smell that lingers.

I only gained 15pds with my first and 13pds with my second but I also had hyperemesis gravidia which did not help. Like you though Audrey I also exercised and did some light running to stay in shape. My job with my first was very physical as I worked as a punch press operator so I loaded huge coils of steal into presses and punched out parts for Ford and GM. I worked as a quality control specialist with my second pregnancy but I was still active. I can say that with keeping active and being fit during both pregnancies I did not suffer from the inevitable tummy issues that some women have to deal with and with both my pregnancies I never looked pregnant because my abs held my munchkins in. My girls weighed 7pds 9 ozs and 7pds 10ozs and both were over 20 inches long. Both were born c-section, my oldest because she was in distress due to me not dilating past 4 and my littlest because I felt it was the safest option for both her and I. I am happy that you have been able to keep your exercise routine going and that you still eat healthy and I wish you a safe birth and healthy twins!

You touched on a lot of good pts but a few more would be we as a society forgot family time, not sitting down at an actual dinner table, we’re too busy with stuff, put the fork down after each bite. Also the time that we eat. To early can cause hunger 2- 3 hrs later. being diabeitic, I get hungry, so in talking with a nurse apple with peanut butter around 7:30 – 8:00 pm ok. Not eating for 12 -13 hrs not always good for you. space between meals

Audrey, you got a wonderful blog and deep insight of your family. I first watched Jeff on tv couple years ago. My mouth open like I couldnt believe this is my favorite thing in my life. I thought about myself talking to stuff animals and understood what it was telling me. Jeff opened my mind about trying to do something like what he was doing. It hard because I am Deaf and wanted it to sign back to me 🙂 I plan to buy this kit soon so I can learn myself. My goal is to meet you both one day and share my concept with him. I stumbled upon your blog, and was drawn to it. Me & my husband have been fans of Jeff’s for years. I remember in some of his acts hearing about his divorce, and feeling so sad. I thought here is this adorable, hilarious man entertaining so many people while going through such a difficult time in his own personal life. I really wished for him that he’d meet someone and find love again. He obviously has and it looks marvelous on him. Clearly his new life agrees with him. I am also a ventriloquist and I met you the first time about 6 years ago when he came to vent Haven convention what I like most about Jeff is he is approachable and normal just like the boy next door. My husband and me enjoyed his sense of humor peanut is my favorite! I really find it fascinating about building the helicopter from scratch. I hope that you have got him to quit swearing so much in his show! And I am praying that both you and Jeff would come to know the Jesus that died for you. I also have twins. I got pregnant in Glacier National Park we prayed for a boy and a girl full term no pain and over 5 pounds each got answered all our prayers He’s so much fun. A special congratulations on 2 precious gifts from God. My husband and I just had our second child 8 mos ago, also a boy. Our daughter is 16 yrs old and yes there’s just a little age gap there, lol. It was never our plan to have such a gap between our kids but Gods timing is not ours and honestly as usual His timing is perfect. Yes, me and my husband are older but thats ok. And yes being pregnant at an older age did have some effects. I understand about the retaining water, swelling and the other aches and pains/ discomfort. I had alot more of those during this pregnancy then with our daughter. There were night when I paced the floor all night because I couldn’t get comfortable to go to sleep. I even tried sleeping sitting up in the recliner or couch nope didn’t work. But on March 17th 2015 all that changed because our son was born by c-section because my fram is to small for either of my kids to fit. He is healthy and adorable and a blessing just as our daughter is. I pray God continue to bless you, Jeff and your whole blended extended family. Have a blessed day!

So very true. Not only was I hungry all the time, but I couldn’t be around raw or cooking meat. Don’t miss that. As far as being hot, I believe they messed up my internal temperature. I remember walking out into negative temperatures in only a light jacket and feeling fine.

i had to laugh as i read this blog; i remember this all too well. by the end of my pregnancy w/my boys; i was wearing my hubby’s shirts/shorts (he is a size 3X); refused to buy bigger clothes. Just walking to the bathroom would invoke a need for a nap. My boys are now 16 yrs old and the joy of my life. enjoy; they grow quickly. Congrats to you and Jeff (love him btw).

I am an experienced “grandpa” so if in your travels you pass through Virginia, I can offer babysitting. I worked in a Salvation Army child care center in Oakland when I was in seminary–caring for infants and toddlers. Now we have three grandchildren. And…I am retired. I work cheap–some of your homemade cookies should suffice.?

Thanks so much for the health tips. My husband and I decided last December 1 to lose 30 lbs. We loved our carbs! I know this wasn’t a great time of year to start but by May we had both done it with diet and exercise. I’ve gained a couple of pounds over the last several months but don’t want to go to that guilty place again so your tips have been very timely for me. Moderation is also the key to living a healthy life. Keep these tips coming and let Jeff know he’s has never looked better with his weight loss. He is obviously very happy in life. First of all congratulations on your twin blessings, second…I love your blog (thank you!) and finally do I need to use the asparagus as my body reacts to it in an unpleasant way? Hi Vanessa! You can absolutely leave out the asparagus. Even if all you had was the dandelion root tea and the two or three of the other ingredients you’d still be able to create a drink that would do the body good. Happy New Year and thanks for the kinds words!

I had to laugh at the swimming comment. By the time I hit 25 weeks, I could no longer find my knees with mine!! I mean, REALLY??? Carrying around what I can only describe to non twin moms as ” an octopus on caffeine” another twin mom I voted me for a swim. So Shamu hit the water. Holy buoyancy, Batman!! Zero gravity and all three of us were note comfortable!!!

Definitely keep it in the fridge. Celery does not do well in the freezer (I learned that the hard way!)

Audrey…I just got back from the store, and of course I forgot something! I forgot the cranberries. What are the properties in cranberries that made you choose then for this drink, and could/should anything be used in its place? If I made the tea and mix it half and half with cranberry juice twice a day would it work ok?
The problem with most cranberry juices is that they typically contain a ton of added sugar. One thing you may want to try is adding plain lemon juice to the tea (fresh or bottled) along with about 5 – 10 drops of liquid stevia. Liquid stevia can be easily found online and at Whole Foods market.

Hey Audrey, Dale and I had this for lunch yesterday, it was great. Very satisfying with few ingredients. I substituted acorn squash, because I had it on hand and it worked just fine.

I’m growing many different squash varieties this year. I’ve chunked and canned winter squash and dried summer and winter to store. I never thought to cube and freeze. I’ll have to look into that process.

I was just wondering was the best diet or lift style change for a person with diabetes. Am tired all the time and have no energy at all and have to drink energy drinks just to make through the day and by the end of the day am too worn out to keep up with my housework. The only place to that I need to loose weight is around my mid section. Now I have high blood pressure to along with my diabetes and my aching body. Please help I don’t know what to do plus don’t have energy to even do exercise. Any information would be great!! You and your husband Jeff are amazing people! Thank you for your time. It is super hard woth the twins to try and get a workout in. Everytime i think we are on a schduele turns out nope they just deviate from it and before i know it my day ihas gotten away from me. It also doesnt help im stuck in Silverdale WA and its grey and rainy all the time. Any tips?

I was also very active and skinny till my mid 20s and even though my doctors don’t tell me to lose weight I get depressed and frustrated trying to get back to how I was before the 2 kids and constantcsit down job came along. *sigh*

I was active and skinny through my entire school life, weighing in at 98lbs when I graduated with wash board abs, sadly I have none of that anymore. I have a full time sit down job and had 2 kids, now 9 and 8. I’ve struggled to get back to what I used to have and no success but not giving up just yet!

Any further suggestions for carb cravings? I’m finding if I eat mostly protein during the day, I feel HANGRY all the time. When I supplement some empty carbs, I feel more satisfied. But I’m confused when it comes to what is a better carb choice. Any thoughts?
Hi Sarah, A no carb, high protein diet will make anyone hangry, for sure! Instead, try incorporating carbs but the high fiber/whole grain type such as oatmeal, brown rice, sweet potatoes, sprouted bread, quinoa and beans. Don’t restrict or go overboard, just have normal serving sizes with your meals. Load up on the vegetables and go for one to two servings of fruit per day. If you like avocado, have 1/4 – 1/2 an avocado per day. Balance and moderation is the way to go!

I am a survivor of breast cancer and since my chemo treatments (ended 12/11) I have had a constant metallic taste in my mouth and seems like the only thing that stoops are saltines. Any suggestions? Used to be able to eat vegetables

Audrey I love reading your tips. i’m sticking to low carb low sugar diet. I’m doing well with eating sweet potatoes and whole grain breads and wraps. My problem is the little cheats, I grab a french fry or two from my husbands plate or i take a bite of my grandson’s pancakes and maple syrup when i make him breakfast. But after reading your tips, i think i’m not losing because i’m drinking diet pepsi all day instead of water( i hate it) and i go to bed around 2am and start my day around 8am. also i like my wine, white zin, I just joined a gym, haven’t even started going yet. i hope i can get rid of some of this wait from your tips, they sound great. thanks so much. keep your tips coming. I just love you and jeff, you’re both such great people.

This is also a good reminder to be mindful of what you feed your pets. Always make sure that meat is the first ingredient. It’s amazing how many pet foods have a corn products listed first.

I add cocoa powder to my pancake batter (it replaces some of the flour). The boys love it, it seems like a treat! I also throw in thinly sliced bananas to add some sweetness.

I just found your blog and am loving it. My fiance and I are all about changing our eating habits, eliminating the sugar laden foods and drinks (soda) and incorporating healthy items in place of them. We both have about 40-50 lbs we need to lose but I guess we need a starting point. Some of the obstacles we’re facing are my food intolerance’s which are gluten, dairy, beef and pork. These I’ve come to terms with for the most part, but gluten free is tricky carb wise and John really likes to have dessert every evening. Any information you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Twins are the most exhausting wonderful journey I have ever taken. Mine are about to turn 3 in a few days and when I was where you were I couldn’t see how I would possibly make it. I did. 15 months to 28 months were the hardest for me, but we are now seeing the light of day and enjoying them both so much. I ask have a more outgoing and a more reserved one and I am so thankful for that! They are breath of fresh air just when I need it the most. Ironically, I attempted to see your husbands show when I was 34 weeks pregnant with my twins. I was so uncomfortable I ended up standing out by the ticket stands the whole time ha, ha. I am sure he was fabulous. Good luck to you both, get some rest and enjoy the whirlwind.

My husband & I saw Jeff a few weeks ago in Jax, FL… As new parents as well we loved to hear we werent alone in the highs and lows of baby world! (Our little girl was born Sept24) I love that you dont sugar coat this experience bc yes, while it is the hardest thing it is so rewarding (Esp that first smile- its like “omg yes you DO love me too!). The protectiveness and paranoia is something Ive never experienced until her, it drives you insane thinking of the different scenarios that could happen but in the end, its worth feeling like a whackadoodle. Congrats & again, thanks for keeping it real on the new baby front!:)

I am a Mom to seven children (insert the Duggar theme “and yes I birthed them all”) and now Nana to 16! I wouldn’t have changed a thing. We have two sons that have been deployed now 3 times each. A son whose an officer in Kansas, and our daughters are teachers, and Mothers. They are all grown up and I still worry every night. I still pray for them every night. But it’s a loving fear, one that a Mommy’s heart will never let go. They will always be your baby’s.

Congratulations on surviving the first few months. My boy/girl twins will be 11 on May 30th. For the tireless nights, we used umbrella strollers. We pushed the twins around that house racking up miles on those tiny wheels. It did wonders for our sanity when they were cranky. Much love and luck and all the happiness in the world. -Angie K.

This is an awesome stage, enjoy every moment you can. Once my twin boys were mobile, the entire playing field changed. One thing that surprised me was that the boys sometimes seemed to “swap” their personalities – the boy who started out shy is now fearless and the boy who was fearless is now much more reserved. And my boys are fraternal too, so no, we didn’t mix them up. All through their toddler years, they swapped back and forth. So don’t worry too much about sweet James getting the short end of the lollipop. They’ll surprise you every time. Just wait until they really start playing and working together. My boys are 11 now – I’m here to tell you that it’s a great ride, you will survive and even thrive!

I too am the mother of twin boys, and yes the first 4 months were the hardest for us as well. Mine were 10 weeks early and stayed at the NICU for 6 weeks before being able to come home. Being a mother is beyond rewarding and my two sons make me proud each and everyday. From preemies who wore gauze cloths as diapers in their first few weeks to the amazing men they have become…they turn 20 next week. Thank you for sharing your story…it does get easier…enjoy each and every moment as they grow so quickly. All the best to you and your family ?

I have twins. They are 20 now. That seems so far away when you are looking at those 15 week old faces, but it goes so incredibly fast. Enjoy every single minute. Don’t rush to be in the next phase (sleeping through the night, walking, talking, school) because those “I wish” moments happen far sooner than you expect and for some reason, you can’t go back. It’s a great ride though and each end is a new beginning. Enjoy!

I am the mother of identical twin girls, born 9 weeks early. They came home in 3 weeks weighing under 5 pounds. Because they were so small they ate every two hours. Like you, were it not for the help of my parents I do not know how we would have done it. These small girls turn 22 in two weeks. The years have been hectic, with incredible highs and lows, but I wouldn’t trade them for all the money in the world!
Best advice I got was from my pediatrician who was the father of twins. “Don’t let them out of the stroller. ”
Enjoy these times! They will be gone in a blink of an eye.

Audrey just remember if you hear either James or Jack talking before they are ready that Jeff is most likely getting them warmed up for one of his shows. LOL. I am the mother of 3 grown children and have numerous grandchildren and the feeling of fear never really does go away, but you do learn to live with it. Thank you for this post. I am currently in a big slump! I eat what I shouldn’t, gained 10 pounds. I still work out sometimes cause I will like the fact I can not do full push ups and burpies. I recently have found out I have a torn meniscus. Very depressed. Thank you for these words as I feel the same way about food sometimes.

I am not a parent so I know I am in no position to dispense advice, but my brother has children I adore and having observed parenthood from a distance, I have found out one thing for when I have kids – You will never get everything right, you will make mistakes along the way, but the greatest thing you can ever do is love your children completely.
Your beautiful boys are very blessed to have such love in their lives.

As a single mother of 5 yr old twins. I completely understand! My boy was so quite he only fussed a little bit when hungry even though he had abdominal pyloric stenosis and couldn’t keep anything down. My girl was colic and would start the screaming after just 2oz of her special colic formula. I never use to forget anything or misplace anything b4 I had them but now I’m lucky to find my car keys.

All good tips, I know ,I never drink enough water even thou I feel more energetic when I do . So started filling a pitcher in the morning and see how much is left at the end of the day, otherwise I lose track. I must say you are good for Jeff all the way around. I love oatmeal. I like making it when I travel too but never thought of adding protein powder. I tend to use peanut butter that I get in packets from the breakfast buffet. Good article!

I like to do mine with a splash of coconut milk at the end and some pecans. I think the coconut milk(canned) adds a tropical vibe. I like the pecans for crunch.

I like to make my oatmeal with thinly sliced apple, cinnamon, and some stevia. Another way I will enjoy it is with blueberries and stevia. If I use any milk it’s the blue diamond unsweetened vanilla or ble diamond unweetened almond coconut. Blue diamond does not have a funny aftertaste Iike others do. I also use Jay Robb’s egg white vanilla protein powder. I plan on trying some of your ideas. Thank you.

Where is a good place to buy the protein powders and what brands are best?
I jump on amazon.com or I’ll buy them in Whole Foods market. I like brands such as Garden of Life, Vega Sport, Plant Fusion and if you want a whey protein, go with Tera’s whey.

I love reading all you and Jeff are doing! I have Crohn’s disease and have more things I don’t tolerate than I do. It is hard to get healthy when your body doesn’t absorb nutrients. I have seen numerous nutritionists but they just tell me to count calories.

I love eating oatmeal in the morning. It is quick and easy on the mornings I have to leave for work by 5 am. I like just plain oatmeal with a touch of hunny to sweeten it up a bit. I work with food and have the tendency to “snack” at work. However, I don’t on the days I eat my oatmeal. I feel Fuller longer.

Only problem with Cream of wheat is that it’s low in fiber. However, you can add a tablespoon of chia seeds (which is loaded with fiber) to make up for it.

This is good. I’m always the most productive early in the morning. On most days my husband gets up at 4:00 am to go to work so I get him breakfast and after he leaves I’m able to work on housework or blog stuff before I have to go to work. Thanks for sharing!

I always like to make a list of all my daily intentions when I’m at my best. If I don’t, I will forget what my motivated-self had intended for the day. Writing it down gives my low-energy-self something easy to follow.

I agree with what your saying. I would add listen to motivation music and read motivational books. Find a mentor who can suggest ideas that will help you in what ever thinking you have Also laughter can help Just watch a Jeff Dunham tape and your be laughing in no time. He always makes me feel better when feeling down A smile is 10x more positive than frown any day

Thanks so much for these tips. Organization is key to a better outlook and certainly self esteem. Some people laugh at me but I don’t care. I organize my seasonings alphabetically. My husband really appreciates it when he cooks. It works,
I have color coded my blouses and shirts but still struggle with getting rid of really nice clothes that are too big. I’ve lost weight and have maintained for a little over a year but a part of me won’t remove these clothes. Maybe counseling? ? I’m almost ready to remove them and place in a separate area and eventually bless some other women. Any ideas would be appreciated on this one. Thanks again and red looks great on the boys! ☺️

Hi Marge, I love how you organize your spices! I’m in the process of organizing mine, as well. As for your large clothes, many of us hold on to them because deep down we think we may end up needing them again some day because we’re bound to gain all the weight back. I did the same thing many years ago but then finally got rid of them after about three years. My advice is to acknowledge that you are a new person now with a different lifestyle, otherwise you would have already gained it all back! And when you have a spare moment, do a little research on nearby women’s charities and find one that speaks to you and that you’d feel especially good about making a donation to. As you said, those clothes would be a blessing to some other women; some who would feel very special and pretty wearing them. Hope this helps!

I agree with cleaning up and getting rid of the old and the clutter…. Taking a friend out for a fancy lunch is nice too. The fancier places usually have much lower prices at lunch with the same service and dining experience of dining at night… Fancy restaurants make me feel special and spoiled….

Audrey you are beautiful and Jeff looks amazing You two are so cute together. His shoe in Tulsa was great. He talked about you and the boys what a blessing the four of you are. I love that you are a personal teainer. I think I would like to do that maybe part time as I retire. I will be 60 next year no plan to make it my new 40 by getting in the best shape I can. My motivating factor now is that I have my Pink drink to give me the energy I need to do a work out. Plexus also keeps my blood sugars regulated and I sleep better. I have been using a pumpkin seed protein powder in my oatmeal, then I add unsweetened blueberry applesauce(50cal). Tastes great.

Hi Jenny, don’t worry: dates taste nothing like raisins! They are sweet and amazing… almost like a maple syrup flavor. In fact, Jeff and I will sometimes eat them by themselves when we have a sweet craving!

Great idea! I find the best way to get most of the air out of a plastic bag is to close most of it up and leave just a small Opening to insert a straw. Then just suck the air out using the end of the straw and quickly close up the bag. Love all your articles. Learning so much.

Love your website and the whole crew Jeff and the boys and of all the videos of Jeff and the guys. I am going to be having the bariatric surgery hopefully in December and I need to exercise and eat right for which I am trying to do but sweets and carbs are my weakness I crave them I am doing my best to stay away from both. Exercising is a bit difficult as I have a bad back and arthritus in both my knees my left is the worst when it flares up. My husband encourages me to walk as we did yesterday walk to the rec center that is about 5 blocks each direction to check the facility out and to look at the new construction of the New swimming pool can’t wait for that as I can’t swim I love to do water exercises. I want to know what would be the best exercises for a bad back. I do plan on joining our local rec center to work out on the exercise machines.

my husband and I make individual serving sized overnight REFRIGERATOR oatmeal with Old fashioned rolled oats, vanilla greek yogurt, cinnamon & Blueberries. We’re in Canada so if it’s a cold morning, we’ll microwave before eating. So good and so filling.

The best way to eat your vegetables!! I love cauliflower so i will have to totally try this recipe. We should batter all veggies and coat them in buffalo sauce 🙂

I cannot wait to try these. I do have a question about ground flax seed, I bought some to make your veggie burgers (which I love), but it seems to go bad really quickly. Is there a way to store it so it doesn’t turn so fast?
Thanks for the kind words, Karen! To answer your question -Yes, absolutely. I keep my ground flaxseed in the freezer! Keeping it in the fridge would also suffice, but placing it in the freezer should give you an extra month or so.

Question – these are eating plans that i “usually” follow because travel doesn’t count but after menopause weight gain and bad/worse bone density results, It was suggested that I avoid grains but also years ago to limit dairy now supposed to add back in for osteoporios (sp)
New studies are actually showing those who consume more dairy actually have more bone fractures! Consuming dairy as the best way to improve bone health is definitely an old school belief that actually isn’t true. The best things you can do for your bones are: weight bearing exercises such as weight lifting, running, or brisk walking 2-3 times a week (minimum), avoid regularly consuming high sodium foods, and then consume high calcium plant based foods such as spinach, kale, collard greens, beans, oranges, black berries and broccoli as much as possible. And since you’re post menopausal, consuming organic tofu or other organic soy products such as edamame and tempeh 2 -3 times a week would help stabilize your hormone levels AND offer more calcium! Grains are best if they are whole grains such as oatmeal, quinoa and brown rice with having whole grain wheat on occasion. Hope this info helps!

I am looking for a GF pancakes recipe or a wheat flour substitute that will allow my to make pancakes that will be like the ones I used to make before my son was diagnosed with celiac desease. I understand some of food science but I have not found a GF pancake recipe that has the same light fluffy texture of old fashion home made pancakes. GF flour often too gritty. might you know of something I might use or a recipe that might work? Cauliflower recipe looks tasty but I am afraid it would come out to heavy with a non wheat flour, or worse gritty.
Hi David! I’m with you – many GF flours are gritty. I find the ingredient that causes this texture is rice flour, so that’s what I usually try to avoid. Bob’s Red Mill GF all purpose (with the red label) is definitely my favorite GF all purpose flour at this time. It is a garbanzo bean based flour that works really nicely in most recipes, including this blender pancake recipe! If you decide to give it a try, please let me know what you think. I agree with your instincts! The more vegetables and fruit the better. They are the disease fighting foods we are meant to eat in abundance. And thanks for the compliments! I have a variety of different products I use in my hair. The big secret is using a diffuser attachment on the blow dryer, and then dry it in sections while your hair is flipped up side down, so that you’re bent over while drying. 🙂

When are you coming out with a cookbook? I just made the pumpkin cupcakes DELISH!! I ate one without frosting and was blown away. . I have made the Peanuts chocolate chunk cookies, again, DELISH!! My only frustration is trying to find a recipe analyzer that calculates the nutritional value. My husband is closely watching his carbs and calories for diabetic reasons. He is a big fan of the cookies and I am pretty sure they have beat the Nestles Toll House which were his favorites. I am now a believer that gluten free and vegan can be tasty and satisfy that sweet tooth. Tomorrow morning I will be making your pumpkin pancakes, I am not leary about this at all. I would love to see you do a cookbook with nutritional values for the recipes. Thank you again for making me a believer and making baking fun again. YOU ROCK

As for nutrition facts for the cookies, the carbs and calories are stated on the back of the package. The only thing you need to add in are the numbers for the oil that you add. If you should decide to try them oil-free, you can! Simply use 1/4 cup apple sauce instead of 1/3 cup of oil and stir well. As for the cookbook, it is definitely on my list! Hi Mary, I love those hot air poppers, but with this particular recipe, the big 8 quart stock pot works best so that you can stir in the sugar at the end and create a crunchy caramelized effect. It’s totally worth it. 🙂

Im just wondering, why use bean flour (never heard if it, from Norway) instead of normal flour? Health? Taste? Texture? I’m very curious!
Hi there! Bean flour is much richer in nutrients such as fiber, protein, vitamins and minerals, whereas regular all purpose flour has been processed and stripped of most of those nutrients. Whole grain flours are also great options and almond flour as well. Thanks for the question!

One question: is there any brand of all natural peanut butter that doesn’t taste grainy? I ended up using regular peanut butter in this recipe because I was afraid of buying another kind of natural peanut butter that tasted grainy.

I’m not a vegan but I’ve been trying some of your recipes and haven’t found one I didn’t like especially this one. I had no idea vegan food could be so good and flavorful. I’m seriously thinking about becoming a vegan the only problem is that I’ve eaten meat my whole life and I’m 45. I guess doing it slowly might do the trick. Hi Angel! You’re absolutely right – start slowly when it comes to being vegan, if that what feels right for you. My transition was slow, as well. I was able to give up meat right away but cheese and butter took me a little longer to give up. Eventually I got to a point where I now do not miss those foods at all, especially since there are now so many great non-dairy versions of those foods! Perhaps start with meatless Mondays… then maybe do vegan all day except for dinner. What usually happens after this is you realize how you don’t need meat in order to have a delicious and satisfying meal. And then the bonus is, you usually become healthier and feel better! Perfection is definitely not a requirement here. Just take it one meal at a time. Please keep me posted! And thank you for the kind words.

What is the nutritional content of this and any of your other recipes?
Hi Randy! With my recipes, I actually focus on the quality of the calories/macros rather than the totals. With this particular recipe, I do have it under the “Treats” category because it is just that – a treat! 🙂 (Which means it’s something you would save for special occasions or events.) Therefore, this pie does have more sugar and fat in it than the recipes you would find under any of the other categories such as breakfast, lunch/dinner, and snacks. But please know that I always try to make every recipe of mine as healthy as possible by choosing the highest quality ingredients that I can, all while making sure that flavor is not sacrificed! It’s a careful balance. I hope this makes sense!

We eat a lot of kale in soups and salads in our house, but I recently had a DEXA Scan where it was discovered that I have significant osteoporosis-osteopenia. I desperately want to avoid taking medicine, as my doctor wants me to take Fosomax, so was wondering if you could recommend a supremely good calcium supplement? Maybe bone strengthening exercises? I’m going to be a Grandmother soon, and want to make sure I’m around to care for my grandchild as well as my mom who lives with us and has dementia.
We plan on moving to Las Vegas, where our son and daughter in law live later this year, as the weather is much better and most importantly care for our new grandson!
Life has been pretty stressful to say the least… I dearly appreciate your feedback.

These are soooo good, and so easy to make. I’m trying to eat less meat, and I’m so tired of chicken. These hit the spot. I baked mine and like them just fine. Since my quinoa made 3 cups (cooked), I’m going to make two more batches tomorrow after church. I think I’m going to freeze them on a cookie sheet and put them in a freezer bad. That way, I’ll be able to take out and cook as many or few as I need (I cook for only myself). Thank you for this recipe! (Oh, the two young girls in my office are doing Keto. I found beyond meat made me feel very sick after eating it. Sol brand is much better.
If you’d like to try Beyond Meat again, this recipe may help “dilute” the burgers (both in taste and otherwise) thanks to the oatmeal and other ingredients that are added. (FYI – I am a fan of Sol burgers, as well! I like the spicy black bean, but unfortunately their texture wouldn’t work in this recipe.)

Ms. Audrey, I am disabled and experience lots of fatigue. I do love the Overnight Oats. For quick and easy for say a couple of weeks at a time… can I put my measured oatmeal, and any dry things like nuts coconut etc. in jar, add the correct amount of fruit using frozen fruits (more available) on top, put a lid on then store in freezer till putting it down in fridge then add fresh milk, liquids and seasonings etc, to soak for the night etc. Would that work?

My husband is working in contsruction, he normally takes bread with him for breaks, how can I make him foods for weightloss that stay nice and fresh during the day? I now give him cherry tomatos or cucumber slices as a snack, or green smoothies.

according to your website you promote healthy nutrition, but a recipe with shortening is far from healthy. I understand it makes for a creamy frosting but has no health benefits at all & should be avoided. Healthy food can taste delicious without adding these artery clogging ingredients.

I’ve had this recipe saved since you posted it. It’s now in the frig getting cool for a chef salad I’m going to fix tonight. The flavors are amazing. I did add some monk fruit sweetener to taste. Thanks for this great new addition for my salads.

I know that this helps you alot. When i am stessed and i can’t focus, i Will simply take a Deep breath and just take a minute or two and do some Deep breath then the body start to relax and you can focus on your work again. This 4 advice is definitely something to remember

I am trying to be a vegan. I’m having trouble finding the right recipes that will help me lose weight and get healthy. I’ve been watching Simmenet nutrition and he eats a lot. How can I lose weight if I eat a lot? And most of my recipes are sweet potato or regular potato. I really need help. When Jeff said at his show Thursday night that you all are vegan I was like oh goodies. Could you help me? I don’t know how to eat right. Portions included. I used to eat meat, carbs, a little veggies and dessert. Its hurt me a lot.
Hey Sara, yes – I’m familiar with Simmenet. He’s a super smart guy and shares a lot of great information. However, he is quite the athlete, so his portions may be larger than what most people would need. For myself and Jeff, we do eat more volume than ever on a vegan diet, simply because our plates are always at least half filled with vegetables and/or fruit. Potatoes and sweet potatoes are extremely healthy and satiety foods, and I highly recommend them. The one key thing is to make sure your fat intake is low, so you don’t want to cover those potatoes with oil or non-dairy butter. Try chili or ketchup or seasonings instead! Avoiding oils, and high fat foods is absolute key when aiming for fat loss on a vegan diet. But to make sure you don’t go crazy, always save room for a little treat every day, if you want one, such as some dark chocolate or a vegan cookie. Save bigger desserts and treats for special occasions or when you REALLY want them. Above all else, remember that perfection is NOT necessary – just take it one meal at a time and remember to always include a ton of vegetables and/or fruit with every meal. I hope this helps!

I’d like to use this pie crust recipe for a pecan pie. The pie recipe I have says to use an unbaked crust – but that is for a regular flour/non vegan crust. Can I make the pie with this crust unbaked, or do you think I should bake it first? Thank you so much!
I always like to partially bake this crust for 12 minutes before adding the filling and baking again. Whats nice is that it doesn’t burn easily; even if in the oven for an additional 60 minutes! Partially baking this crust for those 12 minutes ensures that it’s the perfect texture all the way around and not under baked or gummy in some areas, which can happen with crusts including almond flour. Hope this helps!

Just baked these for a friend having cravings. Hoping the ginger will help her morning sickness. I used dark brown sugar, dark molasses and did use real butter but got results as good as your original. Thank you!

This is not nog, where is the protein?
Hi, in my opinion, protein isn’t what makes great “egg nog” type drinks – it’s the flavor and the fat. Egg yolks are high in fat, which is why they are used in egg nog. With my recipe, I call for full fat oat milk (not the low fat type) with the option of adding almond butter for extra richness.

When I gave up meat, I began ordering a baked potato with broccoli any time we went to our favorite steakhouse. Six months later, at my son’s 19th birthday dinner, the waiter asked me if I was vegetarian. When I told him I was, he told me that they cook the broccoli in chicken broth. I later found out that they will cook the broccoli in water if you ask. I really love getting a baked sweet potato with broccoli since I don’t have to add anything other than a little salt and pepper.
Oh yikes! Well I agree – communicating with the server is key. Restaurants almost always aim to please!

Hi! these are bomb, I ran out of maple syrup. How can I replace it? (vegan), I don’t have Molasses either. Can I replace it with sugar? Btw thank you for this recipe, simple yet so yummy, I love both chickpea and peanuts
So glad you like these! One of our faves as well. To replace maple syrup, you’d actually need another liquid sugar, such as agave. However, if your peanut butter is on the thin/runny side, you might be able to get away with sugar. Please let me know how it turns out!

Hi! I’m the one who asked if I could replace the maple syrup with sugar. I did and it turned out good! I replaced it with 1 cup of sugar and added three tablespoons of almond milk, they turned out great and my dad that had them for the first time liked it. The only difference is that they were a little bit more chewy, but still good. Thank u!

I followed your recipe as the base for my glutenfree vegan fruitcake and it came out as the best fruitcake I’ve made in this allergy friendly version. I added a pound of my soaked fruits, a tsp extra baking powder and two tbsp extra sugar. I can’t thank you enough for such a simple and effective recipe. I also kept it nut free by using hemp milk. This is now my go to recipe for a pound cake or any other type of flavored cake. Thank you so much again!

This pumpkin pie is AMAZING! Made it for thanksgiving and Xmas… it was a huge hit and no one knew it was vegan till my hubby let the cat out of the bag lol. Can you add a can corn or creamed corn to this to give it that little pop of sweetness? Would creamed corn take the place of the canola oil?
Are you looking to replace the maple syrup? Creamed or canned corn might work if you don’t drain it. As for the oil replacement, I’m thinking canned pumpkin might work nicely!

If maple syrup is substituted for the sugar in both the crust and the filling, should I lessen the liquid amount? Or do you have another natural substitute for the sugar?

So easy to make and very tasty! Mine were still a little “gooey” in texture after baking . . . Not sure if I should have baked longer, or if that was what should have been expected. Will definitely bake these again.

I tried this recipe and it was super good and tasty and easy and quick to fix the only difference is I used the can jackfruit because where I live in Wyoming they don’t sell the preseason bag jackfruit.

We just finished this great appetizer with a veggy tray. The ranch drsg was the best I have tried!!! The buffalo cauliflower wings were HOT,oh my!! LOL!! This was soooooo good and addicting!!!!! I am from Buffalo NY home of the Buffalo wings. We love our wings here and this is a great substitute and my family and friends loved. we served with blue cheese as that is the only thing you will find in Buffalo with wings. We really enjoy your channel and blog and would like to request more oil-free recipes. We try to follow a “Forks Over Knives” or “Starch Solution” approach, and oil is strictly off-limits on those.
