This Tropical Green Tea Shake is not only a refreshing and satisfying snack, but it’s also the perfect pick-me-up thanks to it’s matcha green tea content.
Why this Recipe Works:
- This Tropical Green Tea Shake is fantastic not only because it’s simple and tropically delicious, but also because it contains one of the most antioxidant-rich ingredients on the planet – matcha green tea.
- Since this shake contains that matcha green tea, you get a nice steady caffeine boost without the jitters. Nothing beats a snack with caffeine! It’s a feel-good shake through and through.
What are the health benefits of this shake?
- As mentioned, the matcha green tea provides an abundance of disease-fighting antioxidants as well as a nice, moderate caffeine boost.
- The pineapple in this recipe can help to reduce bloating and water retention.
- The added banana, spinach and the date provide extra vitamins, minerals and fiber to this shake, too.
- Spinach, itself, is one of the healthiest foods on the planet!
How to Make my Tropical Green Tea Shake:
- To make it, simply add all of the ingredients to a high-powered blender in the order they are listed. Then, blend until smooth. That’s all there is to it!
Top Tips for Making my Tropical Green Tea Shake:
- I prefer to use almond milk in this recipe, but you can certainly use any non-dairy milk.
- Choose fresh or frozen pineapple for this recipe. However I will say, using the frozen type is definitely easier and it makes your shake extra cold.
- If you want your shake to be sweeter, add an extra date or other sweetener of choice.
- Want to make this recipe for your kids? Just simply leave out the matcha green tea powder.
