Vegan Snack Mix

If you’re anything like me, everyday around 3:00 in the afternoon, all sorts of sweet, salty, crunchy cravings start creeping up and I find myself searching for something quick and tasty to satisfy those urges. I believe this can be partially, if not entirely, blamed on the fact that our morning caffeine has completely worn off by this time and our bodies are searching for another quick source of energy.

So instead of reaching for another cup of coffee, some tortilla chips, or a couple of those Girls Scout Cookies stashed away in the freezer, I came up with a snack that satisfies those intense cravings without involving any guilt, or, future caffeine and/or sugar crashes.

Therefore, may I introduce my official Ultimate Craving Crusher!  This snack is so simple; all you do is place all of the yummy ingredients listed at that bottom of this page into a bowl. Then –  sit, relax, and munch away.

If I’m not in the mood for sweets, I’ll replace the cranberries and chocolate chips with about 10 cashews or almonds.

I love this afternoon snack because it’s crunchy, salty, sweet, tart and it takes a good while to eat. Oh yah – and it involves chocolate!

If I’m heading out for the afternoon, I’ll toss all of the ingredients into a plastic baggie and take this craving crusher with me.

Hope you love this Ultimate Craving Crusher as much as I do! If you decide to try it, please let me know what you think in the comments below, your feedback is very helpful. Thanks in advance!

Man that looks good…..sadly nut allergies, and severe ones would not allow this snack….but I may just leave the nuts out and try it anyway!
