Sometimes, life calls for a margarita. It may not happen often, but when it does, you want each sip to be memorably delicious and refreshingly fantastic. One that has you remembering it for weeks and months to come, so that you often think to yourself, “Man, that margarita was good.”

So, what could possibly top that? How about a margarita that is unbelievably easy to make from home that requires zer0 shopping for margarita mix beforehand.

In my humble opinion, this recipe for Blueberry Margaritas is all of this and more. Because additionally, this drink offers a blast of juicy blueberry goodness and an ingredient list you can feel good about.

Why this Recipe Works:

  • Made with tons of blueberries, these margaritas are so delicious (and healthy, as far as margaritas go)!
  • The color of these cocktails is absolutely show stopping. Your friends and family will love them.
  • The oranges in this recipe take the place of orange liqueur and add in an extra citrus flavor.
  • If you leave out the tequila, this recipe makes a delicious non-alcoholic summer frozen drink.

What makes these margaritas so healthy?

  • This recipe calls for 6 cups of blueberries! That’s a whole lot of vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants.
  • The oranges and lemon juice in this recipe also add a big boost of vitamin C.
  • These margaritas call for no sweet and sour mix or orange liqueur. The sweetness comes from dates, which also offer loads of fiber, potassium, and other nutrients too!

How to Make Blueberry Margaritas:

1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high for about 20 seconds or until the mixture is smooth. Note: Add your liquids to the blender first to ensure seamless blending.

2. Fill your glasses all the way up with ice cubes, pour the blueberry margarita mixture into each one, and then garnish as you see fit.  I went with orange slices and blue straws.

THAT’S IT.

All you need to do now is sit back, relax, and enjoy. I hope you love these margaritas as much as we do!

Top Tips for Making Blueberry Margaritas:

  • I use a gold tequila in this recipe, but silver tequila would work just as well.
  • When putting ingredients in your blender, pour the liquids in first and put the blueberries in last. Your blender blades will thank you!
  • You can absolutely use fresh blueberries in this recipe, but I like to use the frozen type because you can often buy in bulk. They also make these margs nice and cold.
