After posting my YouTube video about matcha tea and how super-crazy healthy it is, I had a handful of people tell me that they just aren’t fans of how matcha green tea tastes.  After hearing this a few times, it was clear that a delicious tasting, spruced up version of this beverage was needed. Therefore, allow me to introduce you to my recipe for Mint Matcha Lattes!

Why this Recipe Works:

  • This creamy and slightly sweet latte will give you a steady caffeine boost without the jitters.
  • The refreshing mint and rich maple syrup in the recipe really help mellow out that strong green tea taste.
  • This recipe includes fresh spinach. The spinach not only makes the drink a nice bright green color, but it also adds even MORE nutrients to the mix. Don’t worry – you can’t taste it!

Why matcha green tea is one of the healthiest foods on the planet:

  • This minimally processed powdered version of green tea is extremely high in nutrients.  So much so, that it is said to offer FIVE TIMES more disease-fighting antioxidants than any other tea or beverage on the planet!
  • Matcha is a no-jitter version of caffeine that creates “a calm sense of heightened alertness and presence of mind.” For this reason, Japanese Zen Buddhist Monks drink matcha green tea before meditating.
  • Studies show that matcha green tea may boost your metabolism, thus enhancing weight loss.  (Especially when consumed before exercising!)

I love this. So warm and yet refreshing because of the mint. I need to use my blender more like your Audrey because I ended up with fine pieces of mint and spinach. Thank you for a great cozy “me time” beverage.❤️
